"I have been to La Vecchia Torre several times, and it never disappoints. The food is home-style and everything is delicious: pizza, pasta, antipasti, and contorni. The owner is very friendly (and funny) and the restaurant is dog friendly. It has a great local atmosphere in the medieval old town of Fornelli, which offers the opportunity to walk around before dinner taking in the sunset views (which the Fornelliese are rightfully proud of)."

"A wonderful room inside one of Fornelli's seven towers and great home-style food. I had delicious handmade pasta and someone else at the table had a wonderful pizza. The owner is very friendly, too."

"We started with a nice plate of homemade pasta (tagliatelle) with porcini mushrooms and sausage. Then I had the pork ribs, which are not like the American ones with bbq sauce on them but came plain with no sauce but was very tasty. I had a side of vegetables with it. Ended with a dessert of semifreddo with coffee flavor. Would recommend this restaurant. Oh and the restaurant is located just inside the castle walls of Fornelli and so the inside is wonderful with the arched ceiling."

"Non importa quanta strada fai se alla fine trovi quello che cerchi. Incantevole ristorante nel cuore del borgo Fornelli. Locale spartano ma accogliente. Servizio impeccabile ad opera della ragazza in sala che ci ha consigliato e fatto assaggiare piatti tipici molisani accompagnati da un vinello gradevole al palato. eccezionale qualità prezzo. Dire consigliato è riduttivo: dovete andarci pe' capì!"
